Richard "Jon" Jonathan Fisher

The family of Richard "Jon" Jonathan Fisher announce his peaceful passing at home on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, in his 79th year.
Jon was the beloved husband of Elaine Fisher (née King) and father to Dale Fisher and the late Dawn Fisher (2017). He was a proud and loving grandfather to Olivia and Dakota Fisher.

He will be lovingly remembered by his brothers David (Carol), Dan (Betty), Jim (Karen), and Mark, as well as his sister Beth (Pierre). Jon was predeceased by his parents, Chester and Jean Fisher.

Jon worked as an auto mechanic and later maintained machinery at Fisher Gauge, Peterborough. He had a lifelong passion for vintage automobiles, drag racing, NASCAR, steam engines, and collecting die-cast cars and other memorabilia. He enjoyed attending cruise nights, gathering with friends over coffee, and travelling throughout the United States with his family.

Interment will take place
Friday, June 12, 2026, 11:00 a.m
South Haven Cemetery
5004 Meridian Street NW, Edmonton, Alberta.

Friday, June 12, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.
to be held at Capilano Christian Assembly

A reception will follow in the church atrium.

Jon will be remembered for his sense of humour, his enthusiasm for vintage cars and cruise nights, and love of family.
