Roderick Laing McLeod
It is with immense sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Roderick Laing McLeod on December 18, 2023 at the age of 74.
To remember him is his wife Barb, his children Shaun (Tammy), Shaylene (Trevor), his grandchildren and beloved grand-puppy, Dixie.
His quiet humor, easy going manner and patience, will remain with us, the rest of his family and the many friends that he made during his life. He loved to hunt and fish and putter in the yard, relishing the war he had with the dandelions. He loved to work with wood, building beautiful pieces of furniture to be enjoyed by many. Mostly, he loved to see us happy.
We would like to acknowledge and thank the emergency staff and the nurses in the Neuro-Sciences ICU unit at the University Hospital in Edmonton, for the wonderful care you provided him. We would also like to acknowledge the STARS Ambulance team that transported him to the hospital. Thank you for all you did and continue to do every day.
"When we see a butterfly whisper by, we will know you are near". We love you and will miss you, always and forever.
Rod was such a good man. 46 years of friendship with you Shay, he was a fixture in my life for sure. Heart hugs for all of you.
