On September 15, 2023, Nellie passed away peacefully at the age of 92.

Predeceased by her first husband John Sajiw and her second husband Michael Bogda, Nellie is survived by her daughter Janice (Albert), son John (Terri), four grandchildren Melanie (James), Laurie (Stephen), Krystan (Adam) and Dillion (Taylor), four great-grandkids Gavin, Ella, Max and Leah as well as numerous extended family and close friends.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at McConachie Gardens Retirement Home and Foyer Lacombe for the special care given to Nellie during her stay.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at 10:00 am at Exaltation of the Holy Cross Ukrainian Catholic Parish, 9003 153 Ave NW, Edmonton.

Mom, grandma, we will treasure you forever, we love you!

The memories of Nell will live on thru pictures and remembering all the celebrations that you had with her. It is always difficult to lose someone so close to your heart, but Nell is pain free and enjoying all her friends again in heaven drinking a few caesars in hand I’m sure.

I can’t think of a holiday or a messed meal along with a great caesar she never had with you all! Hold all your memories close to your heart and always watch for Nell’s sign’s.
