Caskey, William (Bill)
February 21, 1955- April 17, 2024

Life can change in the blink of an eye, but love is eternal.

On April 17, 2024, Bill passed away unexpectedly at the age of 69. Bill is survived by his loving partner Jackie, stepdaughters Jenny (Bob), Danielle (Greg), Heather, and stepson Dustin. He is also survived by numerous inherited grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as his children Johnny, Cheryl, sister-in-law Debbie, niece Sarah (Darryl) and great nephews Cameron and Tyson. He was predeceased by his Mother and Father James and Olga Caskey, as well as his brother Doug Greenwood and nephew Jamie Greenwood.

Bill was an avid rocker and loved jamming and his guitars and would give anyone who asked the background on how the songs came about, how many guitar solos and the names of everyone involved in the album. He loved the Oilers and was so passionate about the team that he had to watch and cheer them on every chance he could.

Bill’s unexpected passing comes as a shock to his family, friends, and loved ones, who are still reeling at the loss. He lived a vibrant life and still had so much ahead of him. He was taken far too soon. Bill was loved by all that knew him and will be dearly missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Josephburg Community Hall #57 54569 Range Road 215, Josephburg, AB on June 8, 2024 from 12pm-6pm.

  1. Condolences Jackie to you and your family. He was a great man and will be missed.

  2. If Tears Could Build A Stairway
If tears could build a stairway
    And memories were a lane
I would walk right up to heaven
    And bring you back again
    No farewell words were spoken
    No time to say goodbye
You were gone before I knew it
    And only God knows why
My heart still aches with sadness
    And secret tears still flow
What it meant to lose you
    No one will ever know
But now I know you want me
To mourn for you no more
To remember all the happy times
Life still has much in store
    Since you’ll never be forgotten
    I pledge to you today
A hallowed place within my heart
    Is where you’ll always stay.
You will be so missed Dad, love you forever ❤️

Sending my love and heartfelt condolences. Keep those precious memories of Bill close to your heart until you meet again ❤

  8. Our deepest sympathy to all Bill’s friends and family. Many good memories of Bill remain with the Caskey family. His music, especially at the annual Oshawa Fiesta week, his dog/s, humor and more are recalled fondly. Although he’s been a long time away from Ontario he was always remembered in thought and prayer. May you find comfort and peace through Jesus’ love and promises. John 11:25

  9. It is with great sadness that I found out Billy is gone. Being a younger cousin I idealized Billy, his music, his workout routine, his daily determination and his kind heart as it was an invaluable asset to my life. Jackie it was a true pleasure to meet you and spend some time with you and Billy in Oshawa. I was so happy to see you both and now it is etched in my mind. May his love keep you and the entire family positive, your hearts healing and the memories alive through these very difficult times. Peace be with you
