It is with broken hearts and great sadness that the family of Wendy Lynn Jackson announce her passing on December 25, 2021, at her home in Edmonton with her beloved husband Klaire Gough and their miracle daughter Marina Eve by her side.

Wendy was 56 years young, and with amazing courage, strength, and graceful beauty, she fought her cancer. She succumbed after spending the Christmas morning with her family.

Wendy was predeceased by her parents Bob and Marina Jackson, her sister Colleen Law, her nephew Matthew Kirschner, and her dear friend Bennie.

She will be lovingly remembered and missed so deeply by her husband Klaire and their daughter Marina. Wendy also leaves to mourn, her sister Dawn (Martin) Kirschner, nephew Lucas Kirschner, nieces Abbie Kirschner, Bronte Law and Brynn Law. As well as her entire large extended family and friends that loved her dearly.

Wendy will always be known for her beautiful smile, her kind heart, her colorful language and laughter, her caring and giving nature, and a true inner beauty that shined her bright light and her endless love to everything and everyone she ever met, along her life’s journey.

At Wendy's request there will be no funeral service. A celebration of her life will be held at a later time.

Thank you to everyone for the love and support through their time and visits, the meals, rides and pure generosity. There are just too many special people to thank individually. We are so grateful.

In Lieu of flowers, we have a few special options for donations that would mean so much to Wendy.

  1. My deepest condolences to Klaire and Marina and the entire family during this difficult time.
My dear Wendy. I miss you so much already. You were an amazing lady inside and out. We had many laughs, fun times and a lot of great memories were shared in our 37 years. There was never a dull moment when you were around. So sweet, caring, funny and thoughtful. You deeply touched many lives in your life journey. You will always be in my thoughts. You will not be forgotten. Until we meet again my friend….

  2. Dear Klaire and Marina,

My heart is broken with the passing of Wendy.
Wendy was the most beautiful soul, inside and out. She treated everyone with kindness and compassion. I am so grateful to have known her, my friend and teammate, truly blessed. Her positive outlook and sense of humour were legendary. She had the ability to make us all feel like we were the only ones that mattered in that moment….what a gift she had!
Above all else, Wendy loved her family. She was a proud Mama!!
In the end, Wendy was surrounded by the love that she gave so selflessly. I am going to miss her so much – she was so loved! Thank you for sharing your beautiful wife and mother with me. I am forever grateful and a much better human because of Wendy. She will forever be with us in spirit, and I know she would want us all to love, laugh and be kind (don’t sweat the small stuff!).
I will always be here for you both for anything you need.
    Lori

We love you all and we will never FORGET our beautiful Niece..Cousin.. Bridesmaid…

  4. I had the privilege of working at the same company as Wendy for many years. (Quadrant Cosmetics) Sales meetings would not have been the same without Wendy there! She lit up every room she walked in and made sure there was going to be alot of fun and laughs wherever we went. She was a stellar salesrep for our company, winning many awards, but it was her husband and daughter that she was most proud of. We both had “miracle babies” around the same time and we talked about our kids alot. Many times, we didn’t need to use words. We could read the love in each others eyes. Marina, you blessed your Mom so much. I am confident that you will shine your light too and be a blessing to many. Deepest heartfelt sympathies to you, Klaire and all the extended family and friends that mourn this precious lady.

  5. Rest In Peace my dear friend

  7. Klaire and Marina, my heart hurts for you. Wendy welcomed me into the family so warmly when I married Eric and when he passed, was the first to make it known I was still part of the family. She was simply too amazing for words. Eric loved her dearly as well and she was his favorite cousin. I just know they are having a hell of a party in heaven right now!!

  8. Klaire, Marina, Dawn & Family
Our thoughts & prayers are with you at this difficult time. Our beautiful niece Wendy was such a vibrant & intelligent lady. She touched so many lives with her compassionate, caring, loving & generous ways. Her inner & out beauty was evident wherever she was. Eric thought she was the BEST! She had a way of making everyone she knew feel so special. She was so happy with the love of her life Klaire & precious daughter Marina. We will always cherish our loving memories of Wendy.

  9. Dear Klaire and Marina, I haven’t seen Wendy in a long time and I am so deeply saddened to hear of her passing. She was a strong, fun and positive person. I haven’t seen her for sometime now, but do remember when we were young spending time at the Hilliard farm together, and remember her having lots of spunk! Funny that we both grew up and had daughters who we both named Marina, A special name in our family❤️ My heart goes out to you and all the family, I know how special she was to all her family and I’m sure her friends as well.

  10. Dear Klaire,Marina,Dawn and family. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this very difficult time. Wendy was amazing, kind, funny, warm hearted and thoughtful. I will always cherish the precious visits I had with Wendy. All my love my friend.

  11. My condolence to you and your loved ones. I didn’t know Wendy on a personal basis – she became a customer of mine when she took a new position with her company. Wendy always made the day better when she came in – her happiness and joy filled the room and as said earlier – she lit up a room! You are missed greatly!

  12. My beautiful friend Wendy, my heart will always have a special place for you. I will forever cherish our friendship and memories my beautiful gas pump girl, so happy I went that evening so many years ago and met you. You became my fragrance rep soon bc after your smile and giggle were as brilliant as the sun. And when you came to my store and announced your miracle pregnancy you glowed brighter than any star I’d ever seen❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Thank you for being in my life and being you……. You are now the brightest star shining in heaven. Sleep well my beautiful princess 😢❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

  13. I am so very saddened by the news of Wendy’s passing…. I haven’t seen her in years, but my memories are strong and full of laughter.
We were very close friends in our 20’s. We were room mates for a few years. First in Westlock and then packed up and moved to Calgary. Oh! the fun we had 💜
Dawn….I am so so very sorry for your loss of Wendy😔
    I just found out today….
I have always thought of her with a smile when ever the Eurythmics play, as that was her favorite group when we roomed together. I still have her album. 💜

  14. To the family of Wendy- I worked with Wendy at Holt Renfrew for approx. 8 years; when I worked in Men’s wear, she was in Men’s fragrance. Being so physically close, as you can imagine a lot of conversations and laughter ensued. I bumped into her yrs later at Darlene’s dance academy & met her vivacious daughter Marina. At Holt’s, I was a 30 something single female & Wendy was fiercely protective of me- she had compassion, spunk & moxie. She was like a sister to me. When I think of her I think of laughter, smiling and a great work ethic.
