Jose De Sousa Moniz
Surrounded by his loving family, Mr. Jose Moniz of Sturgeon County passed away peacefully on September 11, 2025 at the age of 77 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Maria Odilia; his son Joseph; two grandchildren, Nathaniel and Caleb Moniz; ten siblings, Angelina, Abilio (Helena), Manuel (Dulce), Gil (Marta), John (Lurdes), Jaime (Idalina), Albertina (José Francisco), Jonas (Ema), George (Delia) and Antonio; his sister-in-law Isabel Moniz as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many dear friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Jacinto Moniz Tomas and Maria José de Sousa Cordeiro and his brother Eduardo.

Jose, so sad to hear of your passing. A man I truly respect! One of the hardest working individuals I had the privilege to known. A man with principles that never wavered. A man with an abundance mentality. A mentor who helped me start our tree farm. A man with second to none knowledge about tree farming and landscaping. A man who treated me with kindness and respect. Jose you will always be in my memory and thank you for being you!
