Born in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Donald was one of twelve siblings, he lived a rich and full life, marked by hard work, adventure, and love for family. His journey took him from Nova Scotia to Thompson, Manitoba, and finally to Edmonton, Alberta, where he built his life and legacy.

A true jack of all trades, he worked as a lobster fisherman, lumber worker, and later as a foreman pipe fitter at Celanese Canada. Known affectionately as “Mr. Hole-in-One” at Raven Crest Golf Course, Donald had a lifelong love for the game. He also enjoyed many adventures traveling with his beloved wife Marion and their friends to Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Las Vegas, and even on a cruise.

Above all, Donald’s greatest treasures were his family.

He was a devoted husband to Marion, A proud father to Dennis (and his wife Karen), Tracy (and her husband Adam), Bev (and her husband Ross), Wayne (and his wife Lasia), Lyle (and his wife Melanie), and Michelle (and her husband Roberto), and a loving grandfather to:Penny, Kevin, Garry, Michael, Carrie, Adam Jr, Chelsea, Michelle, Kyle, Erin, Jasper, Amanda, Trayl, and Antonio

Donald was also blessed with many great-grandchildren, who brought him endless pride, joy, and laughter in his later years.

He will be remembered for his strength, his laughter, his stories, and his love.
His memory will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew him.

Please join our family in celebrating the life of a beloved husband, father, Grandpa, brother, friend — and legendary golfer — whose love for the game was matched only by his kindness, humor, and storytelling.
