On October 25, 2025, Glen Hemminger of Smoky Lake, passed away with his family by his side. He will be remembered by his loving wife of 56 years, Pauline, his daughters; Charlotte (Peter Illner), Corrie (Bob Anderson), his granddaughters; Zeeva and Rowan; his brothers; Jim (Barb), Don (Pat), Sid (Cathy), as well as numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

Glen was predeceased by his parents, Louis and Elizabeth; and his son in law Andie Löffelbein.

Glen enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping with friends and family. He will be remembered for his gentle nature, patience, love of laughter and the lasting memories he created with those who knew him.

Following Glen’s wishes, no service will be held. A private celebration will take place at a later date.

Glen’s family would like to thank the wonderful staff at the George McDougall Healthcare Centre for their excellent care and kindness.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Glen’s name can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada or the Smoky Lake George McDougall Healthcare Centre.

    We are so very sorry for the tremendous loss of Glen. Anytime we got together either in Smoky Lake or camping we always had such a great time . Great memories of the many conversations we had over the years. Glen will always be remembered and so sadly missed .
