It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Shirley Margaret Harper (née Kline), on Wednesday, October 29, 2025.

Shirley was predeceased by her devoted husband of 66 years, Edward, whom she loved dearly and missed profoundly every day since his passing. Their lifelong partnership was a source of strength, joy, and inspiration to all who knew them.

Shirley leaves to cherish her memory her children Mark (Jean), Scott (Diane), Glenn (Lisa), and Joanne (Darin); her many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews across Canada and Washington State.

Known for her warmth, wisdom, and unwavering love for her family, Shirley touched countless lives. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her resilience, her faith and the deep devotion she held for those she cared about.

Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

  1. We send our deepest condolences to the Harper children, their spouses and the many grandchildren and great grandchildren who will all miss Shirley and all that she meant to them. We enjoyed the times that we spent time with both Ed and Shirley.

  2. My sympathy to you, Glen & Lisa , and your family at the loss of your mother & grandmother to your family.

  3. Joanne and family, I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your mom (and your dad). My mom and dad loved your parents. I remember when we were young, listening to our parents (in a store in downtown Brandon)chatting and the laughter coming out of all of them. Good memories. Sending you hugs from your little buddy, Gooney.

  4. Glenn, Lisa and family. Our sincere condolences. So hard to lose a parent. So thankful that you became close these last years. Cherish those memories 💕
