Linda Jean Alloway (nee Finch)
It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our loving and dedicated mother, wife, and friend who passed away December 7, 2025.
Linda was pre-deceased by her father Stan, her mother Betty, and her brother Ron. She is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Brian, daughter Elizabeth (Cole), and son William, as well as her extended family.
In addition to her strong commitment to family and friends, Linda was an exceptional educator, spending her career with Edmonton Public and dedicating herself to working with students with divergent learning needs. She was a talented artist and had been enjoying time in her studio discovering and creating encaustics.
Linda’s love for travel began at an early age and she had been looking forward to further adventures in Europe. Most recently, a family trip to Mexico had been a highlight as well as a family reunion this past summer.
Her family is so grateful for all of the support and sympathy shown by so many . She knew that she was loved.

We are so shocked and saddened to hear this news. Linda was a very special part of our lives and had a huge impact on the teacher I was. She was an incredible teacher, mentor and friend. We had many great times together and these memories we will cherish forever. To Brian, William, Elizabeth and Cole, may your special memories and time spent together with this outstanding human give you the strength to power through the difficult days ahead. Thinking of you all and sending all our love and support.
