On January 23, 2026, Morris Chysyk passed away at the age of 89 years in Edmonton.

Born to John and Annie Chyzyk in Rosthern, Saskatchewan, Morris is survived by his son: Kevin (Roxanne); daughters: Patricia (Stuart) Trussler, Michelle Reed, Allison McDuff and Marcia (Roberto) Ziccarelli; eleven grandchildren: Chris Chysyk, Megan Gibbons (David), Shelby Reed, Wyatt Reed, Dayna Reed, Roy McDuff, Kaitlin McDuff, Hanna McDuff, Daniel Ziccarelli (Chelsea), Adam Ziccarelli (Alexa) and Roman Ziccarelli (Janita);  five great-grandchildren: Elizabeth, Felicity, Desmond, Linnea and Sienna. He is also survived by two sisters-in-laws; his companion and best friend, Elsie; along with other family members and friends.

He was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Veronica. His parents, all four siblings, one son-in-law and twelve in-laws.

Morris will be remembered as having a deep love of horses in his simple life.

We have such warm memories of uncle Morris & the fact that he & I both worked at Kenting drilling before I ever knew he was my uncle. Life has so many twists & turns.
