Martin Luke Mercer-Deadman

Martin Luke Mercer-Deadman passed away peacefully on October 9, 2026, surrounded and held by the love of his family. Born on May 3, 1959, in Formby, United Kingdom, Martin lived a life marked by hard work, loyalty, and a genuine love for the people around him. He spent his working years in a variety of sales roles, but those who knew him best will remember him not for his career, but for his generous heart, quick wit, and the way he could make people laugh when they needed it most.

Martin was a devoted husband, father, and friend. He shared 37 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Pat, and was immensely proud of his children, Matthew, Allison, and Michaela. He is survived by Pat; his children; his sons-in-law, Kayle and Joe; his siblings and their spouses, Michael, Linda and Jakes, Mark and Gill, Marty and Charlene; and many extended family members and friends who were fortunate enough to know and love him. He was predeceased by his sister-in-law, Brenda; his parents, Carla and Arthur; and his parents-in-law, Ken and Marg.

Whether through a well-timed joke, a story told for the hundredth time, or simply being there when someone needed him, Martin had a gift for making people feel welcome, valued, and cared for. His absence leaves a space that can never truly be filled, but his love, laughter, and the countless memories he created will remain with those who knew him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered every day.
