On Wednesday August 5, 2026 Alzira Paulo Farias of Edmonton, AB passed away at the age of 82 years.

Alzira will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 59 years Manuel, daughter Maria and son Carlos (Angela); 3 grandchildren: Sarah (Gabriele), Madison (Nickolas) and Logan (Olivia); four sisters: Linda (Paulo) Meneses, Natericia (Orlando) Costa, Odete Cardoso and Isolina Gomes; her brother Victor (Maria) Matias; and sisters in-law Grace Matias and Liliana (Argentino) Afonso; as well as numerous extended family and many friends.

She was predeceased by her parents Antonio and Maria, two sisters; Maria Gomes and Marilia Soto and brother Antero Matias.
