It is with a heavy heart that we share that Ashley Julia Morin aged 25 years passed away on June 3, 2024 at Edmonton Alberta.

She was born on March 18, 1999 to Andrea VanderHoek and Kevin Morin. Ashley leaves behind her mother Andrea, stepdad Myk, sister’s Sarah (Maurice), Hannah, boyfriend Wes, fur babies Lincoln and Django, father Kevin, as well many close aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and coworkers.
Ashley was a very happy and easy going child. Always had a smile on her face and was eager to help anyone who needed it. She was the protector of her younger sister and the family prankster, keeping everyone on their toes.

Ashley had a particular interest in cars and had a natural knack for mechanics. She excelled in automotive classes throughout high school and was a parts woman for many years alongside her eldest sister and brother-in-law in the shop. She later became a courier specializing in dangerous goods where she enjoyed being a part of the hustle of the U of A hospital.

Ashley was excited to start her adult life, she always fantasized about an extravagant wedding, starting a family and having a nicer car than her house. She was an avid animal lover having recently got a puppy of her own.

Ashley’s heart was bigger than her appearance, she devotedly donated blood, time and money so it was only fitting to say yes when asked to donate her organs.

Because of Ashley’s grand gesture we would like to encourage all to sign up for organ and blood donation.

Words cannot describe how much we will miss Ashley’s presence in our lives.

A celebration of Ashley’s life will be held on Saturday, June 15 at Emmanuel Community Church at 1 pm, 6505 - 140 Ave NW.

In lieu of flowers we ask you to donate to your local animal rescue.
