Betty Loo-Moi Wee
Betty Loo-Moi Wee, born June 14, 1953, in Papar, Sabah, Malaysia, passed away on June 20, 2026, in Edmonton, Alberta. She was surrounded in life by the love of her family and the faith that gave her strength, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Betty lived a life marked by kindness, resilience, and devotion to those closest to her. She was a family-focused woman who made time to listen, to comfort, and to care. Her gentle presence and steady heart were gifts to her loved ones, and she carried herself with quiet grace through life’s joys and challenges.
She is lovingly remembered by her spouse, David Teo, her children, Delicia (Brad) and Delia, her mother Sat Kin, and siblings James (Olivia) and Michael. She was a sister-in-law to Daven (Tina), Dom and Diania (Jason) and a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Chun Hui, and sisters, Margaret and Loo Hung. Her grandchildren, Theren and Garrett, brought her special joy, and her love for them was evident in the warmth she shared so freely.
Betty’s life was also shaped by the values of her Catholic faith and St Charles’ charismatic group, where she found fellowship and spiritual strength. In her quieter moments, Betty enjoyed walking, travelling, and watching Korean soap operas, simple pleasures that added lightness and enjoyment to her days.
May Betty now rest in eternal peace, and may God grant comfort to her family as they hold memories with her close.
