Catherine Margaret McHale Legris
On September 18, 2017 at the age of 64; Catherine Margaret McHale Legris passed away unexpectedly but peacefully in her sleep. Predeceased by her parents Hilary and Clare McHale, and nephew Kristopher McHale; with her sudden passing she has left so many to cherish her memory.
Loving partner to John Legris for over 40 years; loving and extremely dedicated mother to Shauna (Roy), Carrie Lynn; Kelly (Raj) and Patrick (Cheramie) and an amazing Nana to Taylor, Tristen, Noah, Hannah, Lucas and Ariah. Caring and supportive sister to Brian, Kevin, Michael, Ann, Pat, Mary Clare, Sharon, Donna, Lorraine, Tommy, Lenny and Shawn.
She was also a wonderful Aunt to so many nieces and nephews from B.C. to Ontario whom she loved very much.

It was so consoling to gather together this past June for Kris’ burial,where the gathering of the whole McHale family demonstrated how supportive and loving everyone is to each other. This further grief, with Catherine passing too soon, will be another burden for all to bear. You are all in our thoughts.

She was a kind and loving young girl.

I’m so incredibly sorry for the two clans loss of Catherine, she was certainly an integral part of mine and Gus’ recovery in the early years. It has been good to see her in the meetings in recent times. Her legacy carries on in each and every person she touched, particularly in her children, her grandchildren, and all of her siblings she carried the torch for and mentored – I’ve been praying for all of the clan ever since I heard of her death. Recently I began applying to the local school board to become a supply teacher. I went to look up my former supervisor with Grant MacEwan College’s inmate education program. I was an instructor at Fort Saskatchewan Correctional Centre 2001-2002. I was surprised and saddened to discover that Cathy Legris passed away so suddenly at such a young age. May God’s Presence continue to comfort her family.
