David Henry Drysdale

David Henry Drysdale was born on April 8, 1948, in Islay, Alberta, and passed away on September 30, 2026, in Edmonton, Alberta, at the age of 78.

David was predeceased by his parents, Robert Drysdale and Sarah Simmons; his brothers-in-law, Ken Olstad, Doug Olstad, Ron Olstad, Wes Williams, Jim Parkins, and Cliff Teasdale; and his sister-in-law, Sandra Olstad.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Donna Drysdale; his son, Allan Drysdale (Anna); his grandsons, Ayrton and Hayden Drysdale; his brothers, Jim and Bill (Marg); his sisters, Helen, Shirley, Irene, and Barb; his sisters-in-law, Connie Olstad and Joan Olstad; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

David will be lovingly remembered for the wonderful life he shared with his wife Donna, the special bond he had with his sister-in-law Sandra, and the many cherished memories made with family and friends over the years.

A caring and thoughtful neighbour, David was always willing to lend a helping hand and make sure those around him were taken care of. He had a way of showing how much he cared through the simple things he did for others.

A loyal fan of the Edmonton Oilers and Toronto Blue Jays, David enjoyed cheering on his favourite teams through the wins and losses. He found happiness in life's simple pleasures, spending time with loved ones, and being there for the people who mattered most.

David leaves behind a lifetime of love, laughter, and memories that will be treasured by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed, but his family will always smile when remembering his favourite saying, “It is what it is.”

Following David's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
