
Dwayne Edmund Dreger
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dwayne Edmund Dreger, who passed on June 20th, 2025 at the age of sixty-seven in Edmonton, Alberta.
Dwayne was born on April 22nd, 1958 in Edmonton, Alberta to Dorothy Dreger (Cadieux). He grew up in Edmonton and graduated from ME LaZerte High School. After High School he went to work for Safeway as a meat cutter, where he enjoyed his forty-five year career.
Throughout his life, Dwayne was known for being kind hearted and family oriented. He had an incredible love of learning and over the years Dwayne became an avid photographer, he loved mountain biking, hiking, he took up pencil sketching, took dance lessons and played guitar. He loved to laugh (mainly at his own jokes) and never found a food that he didn’t like. Dwayne was a wonderful cook and had a big love of music.
Above all, Dwayne cherished his family. He is survived by his daughter, Erin (Chris), son Colin (Carolyn), his grandchildren, Parker, Peyton, Finn and Nora, his sisters, Shelley (Darryl) and Faye, as well as his niece Larissa and Nephews Christoper and Marcus. He will be missed dearly by his family.
Dwayne was preceded in death by his mom, Dorothy.
A celebration of life will be attended by his immediate family at a location and date yet to be determined.
