Brendon Guenette, age 45, of Edmonton, Alberta, passed away on March 2, 2026.

Brendon was born in Edmonton on June 23, 1980, to Jacqueline Dzioba and Gerald Guenette. He grew up surrounded by family and friends and was known for his generous heart and caring spirit.

Affectionately known as “B,” Brendon earned the nickname because he was always busy—like a busy bee. He was rarely still and was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need. Brendon was especially known for his kindness and compassion toward those less fortunate, always willing to give whatever he could to help others.

Even in passing, Brendon’s generosity continued. Through organ donation, he was able to give the gift of life to three people, leaving a lasting legacy of hope and compassion.

Brendon is survived by his loving mother, Jacqueline Dzioba; his brother Jeremy (Colette); his sisters Melissa (Corey) and Sarah (Wayne); and his loyal best friend, Roxy. He will also be deeply missed by his many nieces and nephews: Brie Anna, Silas, Nevaeh, Madison, Maëlle, Ellis, Laila, and Kennedy, along with cousins, aunts, uncles, and many friends who were fortunate to know him.

He was predeceased by his father, Gerald Guenette; his grandparents, Jean and John Dzioba and Doris and Lawrence Guenette; and his former partner, Kari. Though life took them on different paths, they remained friends and shared a deep and meaningful connection. They both faced difficult journeys, and in passing, we take comfort in believing they are reunited two souls at peace on a new journey together.

Brendon will always be remembered as a devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend. His kindness, generosity, and the love he shared with others will never be forgotten by the many people whose lives he touched.

This song is for you Brend’. I will not try to write some empty words, that mean nothing, cause now that you are gone, they don’t mean much. But…these lyrics and video will say what I cannot put into words. I think back to the past…memories of us walking through a field…talking about life…or when I my brother was born. How excited you were for me. Miss you. Forever. Salute.

    Jamie.

  16. My Dear Sweet Sister,
It’s so heartbreaking to lose your precious son and our nephew, Brendon. There are no words to express our sorrow. We are here for you 💗 and always will be. We will always remember Brendon’s beautiful smile and friendly personality. Knowing that he changed so many lives by his generous organ donation is a testament to who he was. May God bless you and your family. 💕

  17. B was truly one of a kind. Anyone who had the privilege of knowing him knew that his heart was genuine, his loyalty was unwavering, and his presence could light up any room. He had a way of making people feel seen, valued, and loved, and those who called him a friend knew they had someone who would stand beside them through anything.

To many, B was a friend—but to those closest to him, he was family. His friendships were deep and meaningful, and he carried a rare kind of loyalty that is hard to find. He had a gift for bringing people together and building bonds that felt like they would last a lifetime.

Above all, B loved deeply. His love for Jaquie and for his family was something everyone around him could see and feel. He was proud of the life and love he shared with them, and his devotion never wavered.

B leaves behind memories that will never fade—moments of laughter, loyalty, kindness, and a friendship that will forever live in the hearts of those who knew him. Though he is no longer with us, the love he gave and the impact he made will continue to live on in all of us.

He was truly one in a million, and he will always be deeply loved and missed.
