Horst Dreisbach

It is with heavy hearts that the loving children of Horst Dreisbach announce his passing on June 8, 2025 at the age of 91.

Horst was born in Germany and immigrated to Canada in 1959 with his wife Renate and their eldest daughter. They settled in Edmonton where they went on to have four more children and built a beautiful life together that was full of love and laughter.

Horst was a hard-working man, a baker by trade, who opened up a bakery and deli that became a family business where he taught his children his excellent work ethic. HIs family was always his number one priority, and despite being a hard worker, he always made time for them, taking them camping and creating memories. Later in his life, Horst found great joy and satisfaction in building houses and continuing to spend time with his family.

Horst will be missed by his five children: Gabriela (Ken), Kim (Clint), Patti (Claude), Nicole (Randy), Bob (Amanda), his 11 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

Horst was pre-deceased by his loving wife Renate in 2022. He missed her so much, and it gives his family a glimmer of happiness during this difficult time to know that they are together again.
