Ivy “Joey” Bavin (nee Shuglo)

June 12, 1950 - August 17, 2020

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Ivy (Joey) Bavin of Edmonton AB at the age of 70 years old on Aug 17, after a brief fight with cancer.

She leaves behind her Daughter Debbi-Jean (Lance) Cyre, and Son Christopher Bavin. She also leaves her Granddaughter Hayley Cyre.

Mourning her loss as well are Mother Nancy Lane, Sisters; Mary Jane McLean, Maxine Flowers, Alvina Shuglo , Joyce Shuglo, Edith Bennett as well as her brothers Ralph (Doris) Shuglo,

And Lonnie ( Nicole ) Shuglo as well as many nieces and nephews and some very close friends who watched over her throughout the years.

Predeceaed by her father Finley Shuglo, sister in law Faith Shuglo, and brother David (Scout) Shuglo

Cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral due to Covid.

May you draw comfort in knowing a mother’s love is never-ending; for even in her passing her love remains in the wonderful memories of her that continue to put a smile on the faces of all who were a part of her life.     • Im sorry for your loss..I had the privilege to be her next door neighbor for five years..In that time we became very close. Im going to miss her and feel sadness of the loss of my friend..but take comfort in knowing she is truly free now and in God’s hands..love you my friend R.I.P

  3. I’m so sorry to see this!! oh my Joey. You will forever be missed and never ever forgotten. You are part of so mamories in my life you were an amazing strong women who never took no crap from no one but one thing I truly loved about you was your sense of humour I’ve had so many laughs. With you. I will truly miss you Joey. You will be cherished always a true one of kind a real gem. My condolences
