Jean McManus passed away peacefully on February 22, 2021 at the age of 89.

Jean was born in Mundare Alberta. She had fond memories of her life there with her parents and siblings. The family moved into Edmonton in the early 1940s.

She met and married the love of her life Patrick McManus in August of 1949 and they started a life together. They built several homes together and were blessed with two children. They eventually moved to an acreage in northeast Edmonton in 1975. Jean enjoyed spending time with her family at the many gatherings for Christmas, birthdays, and other special events. Everyone would anticipate the wonderful meals that she would prepare. Family and friends would come from far wide to enjoy her feasts. With time came grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were a source of immense pride and joy for Jean. When she saw them her smile would light up the room.

Jean loved camping and fishing with her family. The great outdoors was one of her many joys. She also loved to garden.

Jean will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 71 years Patrick, her son Patrick (Annette), her daughter Pamela (Marcel), her grandchildren Cory, Natalie (Levi), David, Jennifer (Jon), Nicholle (Scott), Rebecca (Justin) and her great-grandchildren Samara, Madisynn, Ty, Ally, Chase, Marcus and Luke. She will also be remembered by her loving sisters Anne Musick and Adeline Roskey as well as her sisters-in-law Mary McManus, Deloris Donaldson and Linda Percheson as well as many relatives and friends.
