It is with great sadness that the family of Joey Michael Bonertz announces his sudden passing on December 15, 2022 at Fox Creek, AB at the age of 28 years. We will hold him close in our hearts and treasure our memories of him.
Joey was born in Valleyview, AB on August 1, 1994. The family moved to Fox Creek, Alberta in 1997. Joey attended school in Fox Creek and worked in the oilfield until his passing.
Joey is lovingly remembered by his parents Steven and Dina Bonertz; brother, Kristopher (Michelle) George; sisters Katelyn George (Ian Young) and, Kimberly (Scott) Plume; grandmother Vernelle Bonertz and many nieces, nephews. Also cherishing his memory are numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Joey was predeceased by his grandfather Larry Bonertz; grandmother Carmen Flett; uncle Gael Bonertz and uncle Warren Knibbs.
A celebration of life will be held on January 6th, 2023 in Fox Creek, AB at the Community Hall at 1:00 pm. All are welcome to attend.

I was lucky enough to get to know him over the years either where I worked or golfing with him and his Dad in tournaments and seeing him at different functions with you all!!
