Jose Jacinto Duarte of Edmonton, AB passed on Monday March 16, 2026 at the age of 85 years.

Jose, brother, uncle, great-uncle and great-great uncle, will be lovingly remembered by his sister Olivia (John) Ferreira and his brother Arnaldo (Lidia) Duarte; nieces: Patricia (Pedro) Ferrerira, Linda Scott, Sandy (Moses) Cordeiro and Carla (Jerry) Dec; nephews: Luis (Maria) Ferreira, Michael (Sandra) Ferrerira, and Manuel (Carmelia) Duarte; extended family: Fatima Pacheco, Cidalia Sousa, Joao Duarte, Paulo Duarte, Mario Duarte, Luisa Mota, Arnaldo Silva, Gustavo Sousa and Jose Sousa. He also leaves numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews who loved him.

He was predeceased by his parents Manuel and Trindade Duarte; brothers; John Duarte, Manuel Duarte, Antonio Duarte as well as a sister-in-law Maria Duarte.
