It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Maria Gloria Sousa announces her passing after a 2-year battle with breast cancer, on Friday, May 19, 2023, in Edmonton, AB, at the age of 72 years.

Gloria will be lovingly remembered by her children, Nelia (Brad) & John (Coca) Sousa.

Gloria will also be fondly remembered and missed by her nine grandchildren: Ruben, Ashley, Nickolas, Darrien, Dusko, Mira, Erika, Amy, and Nalija; as well as her great-grandchildren: Maxine, Fernando, Mia & Aria. She will also be missed deeply by her brothers, Fernando (Leonor), Victor (Vania) & Carmindo (Oriana) Camara along with their children and many cousins along with their families. Her best friend Darlene (Eduardo) DaSilva and many more extended family and friends.

Gloria was predeceased by both her parents, brother Joao Louis Camara in 1978, and her beloved husband Max in 2015.

Interment will follow at the family plot at St. Michael's Cemetery 13819 82 Street, Edmonton Alberta.
