Maria Liduina Cordeiro
On Monday August 17, 2026 Maria Liduina Cordeiro of Edmonton, AB passed away at the age 87 years.
Liduina will be lovingly remembered by her three children: Emanuel (Kim) Cordeiro, Noe (Liliana) Cordeiro and Lorette (Richard) Lamoureux; daughter in-law Carmela Cordeiro; nine grandchildren: Corey, Bryton, Daniella, Manuel, Isabella, Julia, Eli, Mathieu and Gabriel; three great-grandkids: Henry, Harrison and Addison; two sisters: Seloma Massa and Zenalia Raposo; as well as numerous extended family and many friends.
Liduina was predeceased by her parents, her husband Manuel, and son David.

My dearest cousins, our deepest sympathies on the loss of your dear mama and Avó. Prima Liduina with such a kind, loving, caring, and family oriented person. A woman of strong faith and principal, a woman who was there for you whenever you needed to hear an understanding voice and an honest opinion. I spoke with her just a few months ago and she was not feeling well, but it was just so nice to talk to her and discuss old times and family. She was a very special person to our family here in Winnipeg and will be missed very much. We always kept in touch with phone calls, especially during any kind of holiday and always sat on the phone for a little while talking. We especially love talking around the Christmas holidays and talk about each other’s Christmas villages (Presipio), she was known for her large Christmas village display, and we shared the love of Christmas and what it represented. To the family, I wish them acceptance of her passing and knowing that she loved you all so very, very much. Her family was her world, and you were all very special to her. She is now at rest with all the Holy angels and Saints with her beloved husband and son David. I find comfort as should all of her family and knowing she is in heaven, praying for us. My mom Lucia estrela Cabral sends her love to you all. We are all thinking of you all during the coming days. Fly with the angels, dear cousin the world is a better place knowing you’re up there praying and protecting us.

Maria was a dear friend & neighbor to our beloved mother Louise Lavoie at St. Andrew’s Centre and was the last person Mom visited with there before she left for hospital in late April, 2026. Maria was always pleasant to talk to and will always be remembered by our family for her gentle kindness.
