It is with heavy hearts that Marlene's family announces her sudden passing on Jan. 15, 2017.  She is now in the arms of angels. Born in Schefferville, Quebec, she is survived by her parents Don and Claudette LeRoux, son Austin, sister Diane (Gerard) Monaghan, nieces Joelle and Melissa, many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Marlene's early years were spent in Schefferville before moving to Fort McMurray, AB where she attended school and went on to obtain a certificate in Business Administration at Keyano College. She continued her studies at Mount Royal College in Calgary obtaining a diploma in Recreation Management. Her strong friend and family circle drew her back to Fort McMurray where she pursued a career with Canada Post.  After 20 years, she thought it was time to try something new so she moved to Edmonton and opened her own business.

Marlene had a multitude of friends and welcomed everyone from all walks of life.  She is well known for her gentle, fun-loving ways.  Her infectious love of life will be missed by all who knew her.

  8. So sorry to hear of Marlene’s passing.
