On September 22, 2021, Paul Boutin peacefully passed away at the age of 73 after a long illness with Pulmonary Fibrosis.

Predeceased by his brothers Rosaire, Riel and Roger, Paul will be lovingly remembered by Jeanne, his wife of 50 years; his children: Deanne (Steve), Jerry (Sara) and Rene (Kendra); grandchildren: Jordan (Alyssa), Greyson, Samantha, Joseph, Zaine and London as well as his brother Denis (Linda).

The family wishes to thank everyone who supported Paul and the family during his illness.

  1. Jeanne: My condolences to you and your family. I was so thankful to have been able to know you two as a couple–your generosity, humour, and honesty. I’ll keep all of you in my prayers. And may God keep and hold you during your grieving.

  2. Deeply saddened by the news about Paul’s passing. I knew him for almost last four years. It is hard for me to think that Paul will not be participating in those zoom calls anymore and not sharing his life experiences in the most articulate way . May he rest in eternal peace.

I always admired Paul’s work ethic, intelligence and kindness he showed me as a new municipal employee. His love of you Jeannie, I witnessed at marriage prep and when we met at church.   10. Dear Jeanne and family, we were sorry to hear of Paul’s passing. He was a lovely man with a good heart and a big smile. We always enjoyed being with him in our group zoom meetings.   26. Jeanne and family Our heartfelt Condolences on your loss. We will always remember Paul fondly. Judy is fortunate to have had Paul as a friend for 65 years and Jack for 59. Spending time with the Boutin family over the years has provided us with many happy memories we will forever cherish.

    My deepest condolences to you and your family. Paul held a special place in the hearts of the Collins family. My Mom, Joan Collins worked with Paul at the City of St. Albert. The Boutin’s became close friends and I have fond memories of times we spent together. When Joan passed away, Paul was there for us, and gave a beautiful Eulogy at her funeral. Paul was an amazing, kind, and generous person. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

    So sorry to hear of Paul’s passing. I have wonderful memories of when we were on the St. Albert Parish council together many years ago. He was on my commitee when we helped Holy Family Parish get started. He was such a wonderful person, always ready to do what he could to help! I didn’t see him a lot throughout his battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis but when I did, he was always cheerful & friendly as he had always been.

    We all lost a wonderful person when Paul passed. He was a thoughtful, caring, intelligent, family-oriented person, who was a friend and mentor to many. Paul was a huge beacon within his Assessment profession, with the distinction of being a honorary life time member. He was the longest serving City Assessor in the history of the City of St Albert, which was a testament to his loyalty and his work ethic. His big smile and infectious laugh will be missed by all.

    It’s been a month and we continue to miss Paul each and every day! We shared so many good times and feel that our daily FaceTime visits are what saved all four of us from developing cabin fever during these many COVID months,
    We will continue to pray for Paul and for you and your family!
