It is with heavy hearts that the family of Roxanne McCann, wife, niece and friend to many, announce her passing on Nov. 25th, 2021.

Roxy was born April 23, 1960 in Edmonton, AB. to Anita and Jack Smith.

She is survived by her husband Mike McCann, her fur babies Misty and Lizzie, her aunts and Uncle; Vera Chornoluk, Jane Jorak, Jo Hindle, Ann Mark, Sandy Jurak and Sandy Marrazzo, as well as her many cousins, brother and sister in laws and friends.

Roxy was predeceased by her parents Anita (Nettie) and Jack Smith.

She will be missed by many relatives, dear friends and everyone she touched.

A private family service will be held on Dec 8th at 2:00 pm. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to UofA Hospital Foundation in Roxanne's name for Glioblastoma Research and Breast Cancer Research and to Pilgrim's Hospice.

  1. There are truly no words to express how much you’ll be missed, Roxie. Your beautiful smile lit up the room. I’m so thankful that I got to spend so much time getting to know, and love you. You brought Mike into our family, and that’s a huge blessing. We’ll take care of him. I’ll miss you. ❤️

  3. Many of the years that Roxanne worked at University Hospital I did as well. I was so saddened to hear of her passing. I will always remember her beautiful smile and cute laugh. Rest in peace Roxie.
