Sandy Alex Neill
February 6, 1946 - January 21, 2024
It is with saddened hearts the family of Sandy Alex Neill announce his passing on January 21, 2024 at the age of 77 years.
Sandy was an iron worker of Local 720. He was a very exceptional man. He was loved and respected wherever he went. He loved camping, fishing, and hunting. Enjoyed quiet times on the acreage watching wildlife crossing. We all will miss him.
Sandy is lovingly remembered by his wife, Martha Neill; son, Sonny; step-children, Perry (Rabbeca) and Cory (Lisa); step-grandchildren, Chelsey, Jalayna, and Jayden; sister, Neillie (John) along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Dela and Ray; siblings, Woody, Calvin (Yonne), Merv (Marg), and Rocky.

Sandy was a kind, caring and gentle man who always had a smile and a kind word. Sandy liked to laugh and saved a bottle of Southern Comfort ready to share a toast. We will miss you and will always remember you.
I offer sincere respects and most thoughtful condolences, for my cousins unknown to me, and to my Aunt Marty uncle Sandys loving wife. I offer my most heart felt thoughts and prayers to my cousin Sandy affectionately known as “Sonny” that I most closely know. As Uncle Rocky and Uncle Sandy were the uncles of my fondest memories that knew best with much regard still to brothers, Willard, Truman, Calvin, Mervin, I couldn’t imagine this loss as even more connected. My mother Nellie suffers dearly at the loss of her last sibling and we all hope the family have the support and love we offer her.

Sincere condolences to Marty and family. My memories of Sandy will always be of his smiling face and quick wit. Looking back at the times I visited Marty and Sandy, I can’t help but think of having a game of cribbage over a cup of coffee each morning and the laughs we had when we went fishing. I won a lot of games which makes me wonder if I really was that good or if Sandy just let me win all those times, lol. Regardless of what we were doing, you could be sure of one thing… there were a lot of laughs!
Sandy was hard-working and always busy doing something. We talked often about he and Marty making a trip to Manitoba to visit my cabin but unfortunately life took him down a road that should have never been.
He was a kind soul with a big heart and big smile to go with and will be remembered that way. Rest in peace, Sandy.
Happy birthday Sandy, we all miss you very much and know you will be watching over us from the clouds. Rest easy.
