Shane Leonard Schroeder
September 19, 1984 – December 20, 2013
It is with heavy hearts and deepest sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved son and brother on December 20, 2013.
Shane is survived by his Mother Grace, Father Leonard, Sister Sarah and Brother in law Terry, and numerous extended family and friends.
Shane will be lovingly remembered by his family and friends for his passion for living life to the fullest and for the many lives he touched.
The family wishes to express appreciation to the Golden Search and Rescue and to the family and friends for their outpouring of support during this difficult time.

It is with great honor that I had the opportunity to know Shane. I was so lucky to share laughs, bike rides, and conversation with Shane. A genuinely funny, kind, and caring guy. A great Son and Brother to all of you, and I know he was extremely proud to call you family.

Grace my heart sunk when I found this obituary today. I was looking for you. Seven years has passed since a tragic accident, but the pain is likely with you every day. Our daughter, Julie, has been involved with Search and Rescue for more than seven year, in Calgary & area. I wish we had known Shane.
