Shannon Solange Brookwell (Kootenhayoo)
On November 10, 2025 Shannon Solange Brookwell passed away at the age of 38 years.
She is survived by her daughter Nevaeh Brookwell Fiddler and her son Galen Brookwell; her parents, William and Diane Brookwell; siblings: Perry Kootenyahoo, Paula Brookwell, Donny Brookwell, Victor Brookwell and Cheyenne Brookwell; her grandmother Solange Noel, as well as many Aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Shannon was a very spiritual person and took great comfort in her faith. She was thoughtful and considerate to those closest to her. She loved singing and playing her guitar.
Her voice would resonate in the house, as she did any task. Shannon was a very good photographer, taking many pictures of family and nature. She was a very wonderful writer of songs and stories. When given the opportunity, Shannon enjoyed travelling. Having gone to many Canadian provinces as well as Florida and the Cayman Islands. Shannon was always ready to go camping, she liked nothing better than a big bonfire, bannock on a stick dripping with butter and fresh jam and never passing up a warm and gooey smore all melty with marshmallow and chocolate she really, really loved chocolate. Shannon will forever be missed by all of us whom loved her so so much.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.

Very sad to learn of Shannon’s passing. She was such a sweet little kid when I knew her. I wish that our paths had crossed again. Her passing was way too soon.
