Steven Donald Sockett
It's with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father Steven Donald Sockett on September 29th 2023 at the age of 67 in Edmonton, Alberta.
Steve was not only a father and grandfather but a cabinet maker by trade he loved working with his hands. He also enjoyed the outdoors especially fishing. Being out on the water with a fishing rod gave him so much joy and happiness. Steve also enjoyed singing. Weather it was singing Elvis Presley or Frank Sinatra in the shower or singing karaoke with friends and family.
Steve was predeceased by his parents Robert George and Blanche Christina Sockett
He will be loved and missed by his children Shannon and her husband Ian Markham his granddaughters Kayla and Ryan. Candice Sockett and his Grandson Tyler. Sean Sockett and his wife Ashley. Steve will also be missed by his older brother Ken Sockett and nephews Dawson and his wife Natasha and there daughter, Fraser and Brydon. As well by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Steve was kind and genuine. He will be missed by many. Rest easy. My sympathy and condolences to the entire family

Your dad/grandpa accepted me in unconditionally. He was a good man and very pleasant, happy, and caring. I am greatlful to have met him and had him accept me in to yours and his life. He liked his jokes and laughing and it was contagious to the people around him. There will always be regrets of not spending more time. I am so sorry for you loss and he will be missed.
I am so very sorry and saddened to hear, the passing of Steve. 💔
May we all cherish the wonderful memories that he leaves behind.
He was such a loving person with so many thoughtful ways.
He touched so many lives with his warm heart.
