It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Zonia Hannon (Landiak) on December 21, 2025, at Rockview Hospital in Calgary, surrounded by love and family.

Zonia was born into a large family near Spedden, Alberta, and was very proud of her Ukrainian heritage. She grew up on the family farm alongside her siblings, forming lifelong bonds that she cherished deeply. Family was always at the center of her life, and she treasured time spent with her loved ones.

Zonia later moved to Edmonton, where she worked hard, raised her children, and built a life grounded in strong values, resilience, and independence. She was employed for many years with the Alberta Dairy Pool and later retired from the University of Alberta Hospital. She was known for her strong work ethic and respect for others.

She had a deep love for the outdoors and staying active, enjoying walking, skating, dancing, bowling, and cross-country skiing. She also enjoyed being social, doing puzzles and other activities with neighbors in her building.

Zonia was predeceased by her beloved parents, Daniel and Lucille, and her siblings Kate (Roy); Bill (Doris); Steve (Norma); Harry (Ann); Ann (Slim); Mary (Ken); Olga (Cliff); and Paul.

She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her son Darrell (Janet) and daughter Sharon (Wayne); her grandchildren Lynette (Arthur) and Michelle; and her great-grandchildren Connor and Leah. She is also survived by her siblings Irene; Sandra; Peter (Suzanne); and Fred (Joyce), along with many nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in her heart.

A celebration of life is being planned for the spring at Trinity Funeral Home in Edmonton. Details will be shared with family and friends at a later date.
