Michael Gordon Hubscher
With broken hearts, we share the passing of Michael Gordon Hubscher, a deeply loved son, brother, and friend, who left us far too soon on July 13, 2025, at the age of 42.
Michael was born on December 14, 1982, and lived his life in Edmonton, Alberta. He was a kind, generous soul—someone who gave effortlessly, loved deeply, and brought quiet strength to those around him. With a gentle heart and a sharp mind, he was the kind of
person you could always count on—whether you needed help with a project or just someone to talk to.
Michael had a lifelong passion for anything fast and finely made. He adored Mustang Cobras, cherished his motorbikes, and was endlessly fascinated by the world of Star Trek. More than just hobbies, these were gateways into the kinds of conversations Michael loved—ones filled with curiosity, imagination, and thoughtful insight. He had a unique way of looking at the world, and when he spoke about the things he loved, he invited others into that world. His insights often made people pause, reflect, and see things from a new perspective.
He is lovingly remembered by his mother Darlene (Vince), his father Dale (Brenda), and his brother Dustin (Annie), along with extended family and many close friends whose lives he touched with his kindness, quiet charm, and intellect. Michael built a life filled with loyalty, compassion, and a deep appreciation for the things that brought him joy—models, machines, and meaningful moments of connection with those he loved.
A Celebration of Michael’s Life will be held at a later date. Details will be shared with family and friends when arrangements are finalized.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Michael’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity of your choice.
Though we grieve his absence, we are forever grateful for the time we had. Michael's spirit lives on in every act of kindness, every roar of a classic engine, every thoughtful conversation, and every star that lights the night sky.
“Live long and prosper.”
Deepest condolences to the family at this time .
Thank you for your kind thoughts at this sad time.
This man has forever left an imprint in my mind as an amazing listener, a great thinker, and just a downright awesome person to have around be it just playing some computer games or helping to fix a faulty motor part, he always had something positive to say about things. He will be greatly missed and I only wish I was able to spend more time talking with him about some of his and my favorite topics like Star Trek, Video games, Computers, Model Making, or any plethora of other things he always had something to say about. There was never a dull moment with him. He was a gentle soul and I don’t believe he should have been taken from us so early. But such it is with the way things go. Nobody knows when their time is up. Only those left behind do, and I’m being so, have to bear the burden of grief. But his spirit shall live on in the hearts and souls of his friends and family. To you Mike! You will be forever with us in spirit. Though in person you will be missed just as long. I love you man.
Mark, you have expressed the thoughts of some many people whose lives were touched by Mike. He is loved and missed by so many.
Thank you for your kind words and for being someone in Mikes life.
He was truly one of a kind. Such an amazing person who would give the shirt off his back to anyone who needed it. So full of knowledge and the best sense of humour. I still can’t believe he’s gone, my heart hurts thinking about a future without my friend in it…
Mike will be sadly sadly missed we’ve been trying to reach him for weeks , we were supposed to help him move some things when Crystal moved out of that house thought it was odd he hadn’t gotten back to us in awhile but not unusual till we went over there to check on him finding Noone there. To his were so sorry for your loss I cant imagine the impact especially from someone like Mike we rode together on our bikes as thats how we met and our love for mechanics turned us into friends for the past 5 years he truly will be missed if we’ve missed the funeral then even more of a loss but could someone tell us where he is laid to rest so we may visit our friend thank you !
