Phillip John Joseph Ciz

It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Phillip John Joseph Ciz on Sunday, February 22, 2026 at the age of 71. Phillip was born on May 31,1954 in Edmonton, Alberta where he lived until he passed.

Phil graduated from St. Francis Xavier High School in 1972. Phil attended the University of Alberta, where he received his BCom in 1977. Phil was a lifelong member of the Alberta Chapter of Delta Upsilon International Fraternity.

Phil had a love for life. He loved to laugh and make people laugh. His infectious laughter would fill a room. Phil’s kindness, humor and lighthearted nature brought joy to everyone who knew him.  Phil loved to golf, play cards, travel and sit on an ocean beach sipping a good tequila.

Phil is lovingly remembered by wife Janice, stepdaughter Ashley, sister Elaine, brother-in-law Ray, nieces Katie, Natasha, Nicole, nephew Matthew and a plethora of friends.  Phil valued his family and friends and held them close to his heart.

Phillip will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May his soul rest in peace and his spirit continue to guide and inspire us all.
