Brian Edwin Parker was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta. Brian worked at Silverwood's Dairy as a driver, for Trans Mountain Pipeline as an Operator, then found his niche at Strathcona Emergency Services where he worked for 33 years, retiring as Deputy Chief. Brian then took a position as Fire Chief and Protective Services Director for the City of Fort Saskatchewan. After retiring for the second time, Brian and Brenda spent 18 years as snowbirds in Arizona.

Brian was predeceased by his father, Samuel Edwin Parker, his mother Fern Odessa Parker, his sister Donna McAra and his brother-in-law Robert Griffith.

Brian leaves to mourn his wife Brenda Brooke, sister Sharon Griffith, brother Wayne Parker (Celia), brother-in-law Dave McAra, daughter Cheri Butchart (Terry), son Scott Parker (Nicole), step-son Allan Goulet (Melissa), step-daughter Cathy Goulet, step-daughter Suzanne Lansdell (Jon); grand children Mya Parker (Matt), Eden Parker, Zane Goulet, Jesse Goulet, Tonya Lansdell (Darris), Eric Lansdell (Sarah) and great-grandson Owen Lansdell, as well as countless friends.

The family would like to thank the Cross Cancer Hospital Staff, Prostate Cancer Support Group, WCB for 10 years of support, the Palliative Team and the amazing Hospice Team at the Rivercrest Care Centre, and all the doctors and nurses that helped make Brian comfortable.

There will be a private family service at a later date, in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Cross Cancer for Prostate Cancer Research.
