David Arthur Ferry
David Arthur Ferry passed away on July 10, 2026, at the age of 78, just days before what would have been his 79th birthday. Born on July 16, 1947, in North Battleford, Saskatchewan, David made his home in Edmonton, Alberta, where he dedicated years of service to the community as a Constable with the Edmonton Police Service and in later years an Emergency Communications Officer.
Outside of his career, David had a passion for fixing up classic cars and playing sports. Whether he was at the drag strip, under a car, on the baseball diamond, or the basketball court, he brought the same enthusiasm that defined everything he did. Above all, David was a kind and generous man who cherished time with his family and was always the first to lend a hand to anyone who needed it.
David is survived by his children Robyn (Jim) Dawson, Cindy (Alan) Chrenek, Brett (Janessa) Ferry, Christina Hudson, and Elizabeth Hudson, and by his beloved grandchildren Jack, Mae, Olin, Elyn, Anders, Vann and Veda. He is also survived by his siblings Janet (Greg) Martin, Bev Smith, Don (Dianne) Ferry, and Jim (Colleen) Ferry. David is predeceased by his parents, Robert and Isabella Ferry, and by his brother Albert (Denise) Ferry.
