Melanie Parker Obituary

It is with deep sadness that the family of Linda ‘Melanie’ Parker announces her passing on July 16, 2026 at her home in Edmonton Alberta. Melanie was born in Kamloops BC. Her father was a railroad worker and and her family moved all over BC and Alberta before finally settling in Edmonton. She was a self-proclaimed bookworm, loved to read, and enjoyed jigsaw puzzles & crosswords.

Melanie is lovingly remembered by her brother Donald Parker, nephews Randy (Keri) Graham, John Parker and Ron Parker, niece Michelle Graham, special sister-in-law Corinne Graham (the sister she never had), numerous cousins and great nieces and nephews.

Melanie was sadly predeceased by her beloved daughter Laura Parker in 2012. Laura was her whole world and she endured the pain of losing her only child for over 14 years. She was also predeceased her mother Lorainne Graham, father Steve Parker and brother Randy Graham Sr., brother Vaughn Parker and great niece Karee Graham. In following with Melanie’s wishes no funeral will be held, Melanie has asked that those who wish to grieve may do so in their own hearts.
