(1977-2023)

Dr. April Gale Halliday, born in Vancouver, British Columbia, and resident of Edmonton, Alberta, passed away on October 23, 2023, at the age of 46. She was predeceased by her father, John Robert Halliday, and her cherished bouvier, Lily.

April is survived by her loving mother Dawn Halliday, sister Amber Halliday, half brother Glen, her adored dogs Frankie and Georgie, and dear friend Leah Brassington. Smart, driven, and talented, she brought forth genuine warmth and kindness to all who knew her. Her generosity and love knew no bounds.

  15. This still doesn’t feel real. It is hard to accept that she’s actually gone. My heart breaks, not just for her family, her work family and her beautiful fur babies – but also for April. She spent her life dedicated to making people’s lives better – she was such a bright light in this world, and she deserved soo much better than this. Wherever April was, warmth, wit, humour and love were never far away. Farewell to a beautiful person who left this world infinitely better. I will miss you tremendously.

  16. April was an inspiration to females in business. She had been our go to consultant for a decade. When we did have a spare minute she was like another daughter. She will be missed by all who knew cer. Wayne and Jean Orchuk

  17. I will always remember April and feel fortunate to have known her. Like so many others who were drawn to April by her charm, kindness and warmth, I am grieved by her passing. We worked together for several years at the CCI. Without exception, I was consistently pleased to see April’s initials on our mammo schedule. A day working along side April was a pleasure. We also lived in close proximity and it was a joy to run into her & Lily at the dog park.
My heartfelt sympathy to April’s family.

  18. My sincere condolences to Dr Halliday’s family, as a patient of hers through Glenwood Radiology. I’m heartbroken to hear the news of her passing. She was always kind and caring.

  19. On behalf of myself Richard Ambler & my wife Pat, we offer our sincere condolences to Dr April’s family & colleagues. Your loved one touched so many lives and will always be remembered. Dr April was exceptional Doctor whose caring nature, warmth, kindness, compassionate and dedication were beyond measure. Dr April made such an impact on my life. I suffered with so much pain throughout my body and she was able to relieve my excruciating pain. I was so grateful for her help always. I felt I had to give her Thank you cards for her card room. I wanted to let her know how much she helped me. In fact I felt so blessed when she had asked me to get her another card like the one I had given her previously. Dr April wanted me to write the same message in it so she could take that one home. Dr April will be missed for all who knew her and to all the patients she helped including myself.

  23. Condolences from my husband and myself on April’s passing.

I went to Glenwood back in 2014 for an ultrasound & one of the staff mentioned how skilled April was with cortisone injections. As I was getting them every 3 months I started going to her. She amazed me with her gentleness and speed. When my husband had knee and hip joint issues he too appreciated her skill. And when he was diagnosed with prostate cancer April was so reassuring when I’d ask her questions whilst getting my injections.

She will be sorely missed. RIP
