Arthur was born on Saturday, February 20th, 1943, in the quaint town of Arnold's Cove. He spent his later years residing in the vibrant city of Edmonton, Alberta, where he touched the lives of many with his kindness and compassion.

Arthur proudly served his country through a dedicated career in the Canadian Military, embodying values of honor and commitment that resonated throughout his life. His service to his nation was a testament to his character, and he carried this sense of duty into all aspects of his life.

Preceded in death by his beloved parents, Thomas Walter Mercer and Ethel Maude Mercer, and his cherished wife, Ramona Gloria Mercer, Arthur leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience. Together, they nurtured a family grounded in love, respect, and tradition.

Arthur's absence leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, yet his memory will remain a shining beacon of warmth and wisdom for all who were privileged to know him. Friends, family, and acquaintances alike will fondly remember his generous spirit and unwavering strength.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Easter Monday, April 6 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Royal Canadian Legion St. Albert. A Tache Street St. Albert T8N 2S4.

  4. I had the honor of spending time with Arthur several times, and we always enjoyed our get-togethers. Our friendship was based on mutual respect. Arthur was a wonderful person, respectful and friendly to his friends. He was fascinated by how immigrants contributed to this great nation that opened its doors to so many of us. Arthur, you will always be in our hearts.
