With a heavy heart, we say goodbye to Dale Dziwenko. He passed on November 23, 2025, after a long fight against ALS and Parkinsons. He was incredibly brave in the face of his illnesses and ensured everyday was worthwhile. Whether that be by enjoying the things he loved like cooking, wood working, spending time with friends and family or simply by taking the dog for a golf cart run and enjoying the peace and quiet of his home.

Dale’s memory will forever live on in those he leaves behind. He was a strong and devoted father to Megan (Nolan) and Sean, who will always remember the lessons he taught them and the patience he showed. A kind and quiet brother to Jacquie (Darryl), Barry (Roswitha), and Wes (Darcy), who will always look back and smile at the memories from their life growing up together. A fun, caring uncle to Allana, Melissa (Shawn), and Nicolas (Breanne), who always encouraged water gun fights with the neighbours. And he was a generous and loyal friend to those he welcomed into his heart. They will always remember the late-night conversations and all the trouble they used to get into together.

Dale was predeceased by his parents, Richard Emil and Elizabeth Marie Dziwenko.

Dale left his mark on the world in more ways than one. He took pride in his work and created pieces around the city that will still be standing many years from now. All the people he interacted with will always remember him fondly, as he was quick to make jokes and always had the best music on hand. He was incredibly gifted with instruments, often taking requests from loved ones who enjoyed hearing him play. He was a teacher. A confidant. A role model. And he will be missed dearly.

  3. Dear Dziwenko Family,

My brothers and I grew up with Jacquie, Barry, Dale and Wes. We were very close friends for many years and share some very fun memories together. I will always remember Dale as quiet, thoughtful, and kind with a little mischief mixed in for good measure.

We are incredibly sad to hear of Dale’s passing. May his children know he was a good friend to all and although we lost touch threw the years he will always be in our hearts.

Love and condolences from Kim, Blake, Blair, Scott (the Schmidt kids)

  4. Growing up next to the Dizwenko’s it was always an adventure! I spent a lot of time pestering my “big brothers” next door. Jacquie babysat us occasionally and was always sweet. Barry & his buddies had the coolest musclecars, Wes was the sports star that everyone knew.
But Dale was the one I liked hanging around with the most. He was always tinkering out in the garage or out front, He always had the time of day for me, I fondly remember his old Mercury Comet, and his boogy van, as well as his jet black murdered-out Daytona that was way ahead of its time. He would explain all of the intricacies of his stereo installs or CB radios or fancy alarms that he was building and I was all ears. I was also always up for assisting Dale in pranking his old buddy Mike… but that’s a different story. Over the years we had camped together & I had visited his lake lot occasionally & did some dirt biking but eventually life got busy and I unfortunately haven’t seen much of him lately.

I will truly miss you Dale, and never forget the times we’ve spent together, you were a one-of-a-kind. Rest in peace brother.
