Denny David Joseph Cote
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Dad, Denny David Joseph Cote, at the age of 57, in Stony Plain, Alberta.
Denny was born in Burnaby, BC, to Vern and Louise Cote, but spent much of his childhood with his parents and four siblings in Leoville, Saskatchewan. As the baby of the family, although quiet and never really asking for much, Denny was able to get away with just a little bit more—spoiled, but loved beyond end. Denny spent his early adult years enjoying life at home and working, finding a passion in carpentry, eventually going on to open a business with his best friend, Dave. At 25, Denny found home in Spruce Grove, where he raised his two children, whom he adored. In his later years, Denny enjoyed the simpler pleasures in life, finding joy in eating spitz and watching game shows.
Denny will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by his daughter Alicia; son Nick (Jess); grandson Grayson; and siblings Dan (Yvette), Val (Armond), Darrin (Andrea), and Colette, along with his numerous nieces and nephews. Denny was also blessed with and will be missed by his bonus family Sherri and her children Kevin (Angela), Ryan (Shana), and Sarah (Chris), along with nine additional grandchildren, and Sherri’s siblings Darren, Shannon, and Mike and their families. Denny is also remembered by many cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
Denny was predeceased by his mom and dad, Louise and Vern Cote; his best friend and business partner, Dave Taylor; and his furry friend, Cooper.
A celebration of life will be held for Denny at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Rest easy, Dad. You will be so missed.

Sending our deepest condolences. Robert and Julie Matzner

Denny was my friend and classmate in Leoville. I always enjoyed being around him and talking with each other. He was kind, smart, quiet, humble, hard working, respectful, and had a good sense of humour. So many wonderful memories growing up together. I was thrilled to reconnect again with Denny some years ago. May he rest in peace. My sincere condolences to Val, Colette, Daniel, Darrin, Alicia and Nick.
We were shocked to hear of Denny’s passing at such a young age. It was always a pleasure bumping into him at the hardware store in Spruce Grove, talking about work, catching up on family news and reminiscing about the old days in Leoville. Our hearts go out to all of you; please accept our most sincere condolences.
