Devlynn Ryann Cyr (Tanya Marie Van Dyk)
Tanya Van Dyk, lovingly known as Devlynn Cyr, passed away peacefully at The Grey Nuns Hospital, January 28th, 2026 at the age of 41.
Devlynn was the kind of person who laughed loudly, sang beautifully, and cared whole heartedly.
She lived her life by one motto “You can do hard things”.
She continually pushed those she cared about to do their own hard things, all the while accomplishing her own unimaginable journey.
Devlynn’s voice lifted all those who heard her, leaving them to be empowered in their own lives.
She truly was one of a kind.
Devlynn was predeceased by her Mother Laurie Ward, her Grandfathers Lucas Van Dyk Sr. and John Pruissen, and her Grandmothers Sini Van Dyk, and Pearl Pruissen.
She is survived by her Father Lucas Van Dyk and Brother
Lucas (Kyle) Van Dyk, step siblings Darryl and Roger, and many friends who carry her memory forward, never to be forgotten.
Above all, Devlynn loved deeply, especially her partner Tom who was her constant, her safe place, and her greatest love.
Though our hearts are broken, we are endlessly grateful for the time and memories made.
Devlynn you will be deeply missed and forever loved.

I followed Devlynn on TikTok through her journey. It was one of the hardest things to watch her slow decline and she never made it a pity party. Sure there were times she felt defeated but she always straightened her crown and carried on. She carried herself with grace and a calmness that I would never be able to knowing I was as sick as she was. She put us, those that lovered her at ease. I will always do hard things in her honor and memory.
