Gary Roberton Boyes
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gary Roberton Boyes at St. Joseph’s Auxiliary Hospital on Friday, August 29, 2025 at the age of 71.
Gary passed away peacefully in his sleep after a short battle with cancer. Gary spent part of his working career with the Alberta Government, and later on with the City of Edmonton.
Gary will be fondly remembered for his time spent as a mall Santa spreading joy to hundreds of children.
He is survived by his sister Patricia Rusnak (Boyes), aunt Mossie Pappe (Boyes) and numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces.
He is predeceased by his father William Russell Weldon Boyes, mother Marion Elsie Boyes (Roberton) and sister Etta Elizabeth Rea (Boyes).
A memorial will be held in Gary’s honor at a future date.
I was married in December of 1998 by Reverend Boyes, he was a former Minister at Trinity Church in Cottam, Ontario. May he Rest In Peace, and rise in Glory. May his family find comfort. Is there a way to find out when and where the memorial will take place?
