Hans Eric Iversen

Hans Iversen, born June 23, 1970, in Drayton Valley, Alberta, passed away on March 21, 2026, in Edmonton, Alberta.

Hans was known for his adventurous spirit, his love of travel, and his deep connection to family and friends. In recent years, he enjoyed traveling with his partner, creating memories and exploring new places together.

He had a passion for the outdoors — especially fishing, panning for rocks and gems, and spending time by the river. He also had a deep appreciation for trees and nature, often sharing his knowledge with those around him, bringing both laughter and learning to his conversations.

Hans will be remembered for his big laugh, his curiosity, and the way he connected with others. He found joy in simple moments — whether walking dry riverbeds collecting stones, sharing stories with friends, or engaging with people in meaningful ways. His presence left a lasting impression on those who knew him.

He was predeceased by his father Jens, his son Dane, and his brother Norman.

Hans will be deeply missed by his partner, Zinovia; his son, John; his mother, Georgina; his sisters, Shari (Todd Niles) and Eleanor Iversen; and his nephews and great-nephews: Kyle Nelson (Robyn), Ryken, Kendryx, and Lucas; Landon Nelson (Ashley), Hudson and Grayson; Tyson Niles; Tyler Niles (Erann); Cody Niles; Ian Welch (Maria), Dominick; and Mark Welch.
