It is with profound sorrow that we, the family of the late Harold Barkley, announce his sudden passing on March 26, 2026, in Edmonton, Alberta.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved daughter Mandi (Jordan), stepdaughter Tami (Kelsey), and stepson Jamie. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Hannah and Connor. Harold is also survived by his brothers Gary, Donny (Halina), Roger (Lisa), and Bobby (Laurie), as well as his sister Darlene (Erica). He will be deeply missed by many extended family members and friends.

Harold was a truly incredible man with the biggest heart, someone who made even the simplest moments in life feel rich and meaningful. He loved deeply and gave unconditionally to those he held close. He will be forever remembered for his infectious laughter, his quirky sense of humour, and the unmistakable sparkle in his eyes that brought joy to everyone around him.

He was predeceased by his father, Harold Barkley; his mother, Helen Barkley; and his brothers, Eddy and Murray.

A local service will be held on Saturday April 25th at 2pm at St Albert Alliance Church, 200 Villeneuve Road, St Albert, AB. With a future service to be held in Smithers, BC.

“Dad, your love shaped my world” ~ your loving daughter, Mandi.

  1. Big brother, I still can’t believe this has happened. I want you to know you will never be forgotten. Like I said before, pieces of my heart keep getting chipped away.

I’m going to miss everything about you—your smile, your quirky sense of humour, our big teddy bear. But most of all, your huge, caring heart for everyone. The sparkle in your eyes and your infectious laugh could light up any room you walked into.

Harry, I love you. I know you’ll help guide us until we meet again.

    Your little sister is heartbroken.💔

  3. Harry, I met you in grade 3. We created many great memories through our childhood and our teens. I will never forget the times that we had at your mother’s place after many events that we had at JA or other events. These memories will last forever. Rest in peace my friend.

  4. From the moment I met you I knew you were pretty special. Kind, funny and giving, you made friends with such ease. My heart will forever have a missing piece with you no longer in our world. Love you my dear friend.

  5. Harold I still cant believe you are gone from this earth. I’m going to miss those phone calls that you, Bobby and I would have talking about everything from collecting our CPP to how we make our stuffing for the Christmas Turkey and every subject in between. Thanks for accepting me as your sister in law Harry. My only wish is we could have had more time. Love you Harry

  6. My condolences to everyone that has had the pleasure of being in Harry’s life. He was a funny guy and always friendly to anyone and everyone. RIP Harry!

  7. Condolences 💐 to the family. He will be missed. I work with Harry for many years at HFP. He was a good worker. He ran the Cut/-Off Saws, Trimmer, Edgers, Log sort and Loaders. From what, I can remember. And many more. He was a Loyal friend and good Co-worker. He’d stop by for coffee. When he was going through town. His laughter, humour and our memories of him. Will be remembered.
Your friends, Roy & April Armstrong
