It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Irene Bernice Hickey, a committed wife, a loving mother and incredible grandma and great grandma. Irene’s courageous battle with cancer came to an end on May 20, 2025. Irene was 85 years old.
Irene’s memory will be forever cherished by family and friends. Her nurturing spirit, unwavering support, and boundless love will forever live on in our hearts. We will forever honour the legacy of a remarkable woman who made a lasting impact on the world.

I am saddened to learn that Irene has passed. I met Irene and Art many years ago through the friendship they shared with Aggie Fehr. It didn’t take long to feel like you knew them always. She was an amazing woman and her family will miss her beyond measure. My sincere condolences to all her family and friends who adored her.

My sincere condolences! Auntie Irene was like a second mom to me after my mom passed away 13 years ago. Her kindness and nurturing spirit lit up a room. I learned alot of wisdom from her over the years.
Her smile will be one to remember.
