Janet Gilbertson
Passed Away March 27, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Janet Gilbertson announces her passing at the age of 66 years old, at Grey Nuns Hospital, Edmonton, Alberta.
Janet will be lovingly remembered by: her Father Robert and her Brothers Richard and Doug and extended family.
Janet was predeceased by her loving Mother, MaryLou, Grandparents Clarence and Verna, Balzer and Catherine. Plus many Aunt's, Uncles and cousins.
I am very sorry for your loss Doug. She looked so pretty in this photo. As one who has also lost a sister I feel your pain.

Heartfelt condolences to Bob, Doug and Richard on the loss of Janet. Some of my earliest memories are of the Gilbertson family as we were neighbours for all of my childhood. I distinctly remember playing in the basement of their house with Janet. Janet was 4 years older than I and took the role of teacher to my student. I’ll always remember her golden hair and kind eyes looking at me as she was teaching me whatever it was. Sending love and hugs to the family.

Janet was a very good friend of mine in high school, a good friend to many of us. We had alot of fun, shared many good times, I feel grateful to have those memories. My condolences to Doug, Richard and Mr Gilbertson.
