Lauretta Edna (Savage) Wade
We announce with heavy hearts, the passing of Lauretta Edna (Savage) Wade on November 16th, 2024 at the age of 90.
Lauretta loved her family dearly and led a full life filled with accomplishments, determination, and conviction to her family, friends, and farm. Lauretta was deeply invested in the community in which she lived. From co-founding North Cooking Lake Aviaries with her husband, Harvey, to competing across the province in horse-showing events, to faithfully supporting the Tofield Legion #91 and the Royal Purple of Canada, Lauretta truly left a lasting legacy in all that knew her.
She is survived by her sister Muriel, her son, Bruce, her daughter-in-law, Carol, her stepdaughter, Patricia, her grandchildren, Mac, Jake, Daniel, and Travis, and all of her loving extended family.
There will be a celebration of her life on Sunday, December 8th at North Cooking Lake Hall, from 1:00 to 4:00. All are welcome.
We are so sorry for your loss. She will be missed so much. All the memories she talked about growing up were so great to listen to. As she said she had a great life and a long one.
You are all in our hearts and prayers and if there is anything we can do to help you through this trying time please do not hesitate to call.
Yvonne and Dale
I am writing this today with a very heavy heart. Aunt Lauretta was the most strongest woman that I have ever known. Her courage, strength and perseverance is beyond anything that I know. She fought with such force and conquered so many challenges. I had told her recently that she was my Hero. I will miss her stories of our family history and she knew a great deal of our history! I will miss her wisdom and her great sense of humour. But now she can rest peacefully and reconnect with our loved ones that have passed and I can only imagine the stories that she has for them!! You are greatly missed Aunt Lauretta.
